This April, Modus AV brought together 13 friends, clients, and fellow audio enthusiasts for a trip to the largest high-end audio show in North America. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wouldn't be an ordinary weekend. It would be the kind that gets talked about for years.

AXPONA draws the best of the best: manufacturers, audiophiles, and gear obsessives from every corner of the country descend on Schaumburg each spring to experience sound in ways that simply can't be replicated anywhere else. This year's show did not disappoint.
Room after room, floor after floor, our crew moved through hundreds of demonstrations, listening to systems that ranged from the beautifully approachable to the jaw-droppingly extravagant. Custom shirts in tow, the Modus AV squad was easy to spot — and the energy we brought matched the electricity in the air.

Great Sound Deserves Great Company
After days of immersing ourselves in the world's finest audio, there was only one way to wrap it all up; together around a table. The Modus AV crew gathered for a dinner that turned into something more than a meal. Stories from the show, debates about favorite rooms, and the kind of laughter that only comes from a group that genuinely enjoys each other's company.
This is what Modus AV is about: not just the gear, but the people and the moments the gear creates.
This Was Just the Beginning
AXPONA 2026 reminded us why we do what we do. It's not just about speakers and amplifiers and cables; it's about sharing a passion with people who feel it just as deeply. Watching clients experience sound at this level for the first time, seeing the look on someone's face when a system hits them in the chest... that's the whole thing right there.
